Spring is here, which means it’s time for that annual spring cleaning! Here\u2019s a checklist on how you can clean your house and throw away your junk in the most effective way.<\/span><\/p>\n

How To Spring Clean Your Bedroom<\/b><\/h2>\n

Desk<\/b> \u2013 go through all the drawers and cabinets in your desk, nightstand and TV stand and remove any unnecessary clutter<\/span><\/p>\n

Curtains<\/b> \u2013 carefully remove and wash them. Even if they appear to be clean, they still collect a lot of dust. Scrubbing might be necessary for some stains.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cobwebs<\/b> \u2013 gross, but definitely a must to remove them from the corners of your ceiling, under your bed, behind furniture, and other similar places.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fans<\/b> \u2013 by using a ladder, climb up to get a better view and wipe away all dust on cieling fan blades.<\/span><\/p>\n

Master bathroom<\/b> \u2013 using a spray bottle filled with vinegar and water, spray and scrub out water stains and soap scum. Clean hard-to-reach spots with an old toothbrush.<\/span><\/p>\n

Medicine cabinet \u2013 wipe the inside down, and make sure to throw out any medicines that have expired or are no longer in need.<\/span><\/p>\n

How To Spring Clean Your Closet<\/b><\/h2>\n

Get rid of old clothes<\/b> \u2013 search for clothes that are torn, stained, or which no longer fit. You can repurpose them as kitchen or bathroom rags, or you can donate them.<\/span><\/p>\n

Drawers<\/b> \u2013 Wipe the inside or replace the underlayment in your drawers if you have one.<\/span><\/p>\n

Organize your clothes by category<\/b> \u2013 shirts, pants, sweaters, jackets, accessories, shoes etc. If you have a large closet, you can consider organizing each category by colour, style, season and more!<\/span><\/p>\n

How To Spring Clean Your Kitchen<\/b><\/h2>\n

Shelves & Cabinets<\/b> \u2013 Wipe down your shelves and cabinets. Make sure to dust above, below, and between the hinges.<\/span><\/p>\n

Old Food<\/b> \u2013 throw out any food that\u2019s expired. If anything\u2019s starting to look bad or approaching expiration, make a note to use it up quickly.<\/span><\/p>\n

Floors<\/b> \u2013 if you have a tiled floor, give the grout between each tile a good scrub.<\/span><\/p>\n

Stove<\/b> \u2013 clean the stove, checking for dirt or food crumbs that can cause the burners to clog.<\/span><\/p>\n

Oven\/Microwave<\/b> \u2013 use the self-cleaning feature on your oven and then clean out the debris. If you do not have this feature, then remove the racks, soak them, scrub them and finally grease them.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mold & Pest Damage<\/b> \u2013 remove everything in the garage and air it all out. Deep-clean the space, checking for mold and pest damage and throw out any unrepairable item or unwanted waste.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tools<\/b> \u2013 wash your tools (especially outdoor gardening tools).<\/span><\/p>\n

Reorganize<\/b> \u2013 put everything that\u2019s not junk back inside, in a neat and organized manner.<\/span><\/p>\n
